During the new year holidays the Helikon-Opera theatre invites children and their parents to a musical performance "Fairy-Tale City".

Once upon a time in the Fairy-Tale city lived wizards...  In the surrounding forest there were dragons, noble knights wandered around...  And they all had incredible stories! One of them, as you guessed it, just happened during the new year holidays. On the eve of the New Year the inhabitants  of the fairy-tale city got the trouble: the Ice Witch would like to  freeze the beloved magic clock of the citizens and then the time would stop... This means that the New Year will never come! The heroes of the tale – a little girl, a talking cat, an old office rat and a scientist will overcome many obstacles and destroy the evil spell of the witch. Good characters, of course, will help the little audience, who will also become participants in the Christmas tale.

The music for the production was written by the wonderful composer and jazz pianist Alexander Pokidchenko, Honored Artist of Russia. The Director of the play is Ilya Ilyin. The performance involves artists and the orchestra of the Helikon Opera.

Before the performance, the children will have an interactive program in the Atrium "Chaliapin": songs, games and dances around the Christmas tree... And no one will be left without gifts from Ded Moroz and Snowmaiden.
