You must admit that these reminiscences stay with us our entire live and warm it with a special light… Can you forget fairy tales, so wise and kind, giving us faith in the triumph of good over evil? But what happens if that arrives? Artists and musicians of the Moscow theater "Helikon-opera" will tell you about it in the children's play Forgotten tales land!
“Forgotten tales land is a grandiose performance, it involves many artists, a choir, a large symphony orchestra, - says director Ilya Ilin. – It is filled with technology, because the fairy tale means magic tricks, miracles and magic that we create on stage with the help of multimedia and special effects. Our characters fly, transform, suddenly appear in the audience. And also – these are bright fantasy costumes, by which you can easily recognize the Wood Goblin, the Witch and other heroes familiar from our childhood."
The adventures of Baba Yaga, Nixie, Kikimora, Wood Goblin and Dragon Gorynych on the music of Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky, Debussy, Khachaturian and other great composers will end, of course, with the triumph of goodness, and all the characters of fairy tales will return to books!
Forgotten tales land has an interesting backstory. In anticipation of the production in the summer 2023, a competition for children for the best title and poster was announced on Children's Radio. The children responded with pleasure and sent many wonderful works! The title Forgotten tales land, authored by 9-year-old Miroslava Kozlova from Vologda, won, and the best poster was sent by 7-year-old Varvara Shpotya from the city of Dolgoprudny near Moscow.
