Elena Obraztsova has gone

Dear friends!

From me and from the whole troupe of Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera I express my deepest and sincere condolences in the connection of death of our beloved Elena Vasilievna Obraztsova.
Elena Vasilievna always was a first cast on stage and in our life.

My first visits to Bolshoi theatre are connected with her name. She was my first Amneris, Carmen, Lubasha, Eboli, Marina Mniszek, Azucena, Lubava – all these operas we learnt from her.
It was she, who together with Boris Pokrovsky wrote the petition to the Government of Moscow with the request to legitimate our theatre.

It was Elena Vasilievna who together with our friends asked the authorities to support the reconstruction of the main stage of Helikon-opera. Elena Oraztsova applauded our “Carmen” performance in Paris on stage of Théâtre des Champs Elysées, giving us her Name, in the name of our success.

I was happy to be friends with Elena Vasilievna, to work on TV with her, to sit in the jury of “Bolshaya opera” project. Our last co-work in the theatre, The Opera Ball in honour of Elena Obraztsova, was especially hearty and happy!
Elena Vasilievna was a Winner! She always won, she was feminine, charming, witty, energetic and talented in everythning!

Elena Obraztsova is immortal. We and those who will live after us will listen to her voice!
