Maria Guleghina together with an orchestra and a choir of "Helikon-opera" has performed in "Romantic of Romance" program

On the 20th of April the recording of the popular program "Romantic of Romance" of "Culture" TV channel, devoted to the Victory Day, took place at "Yauza Palace".

Specially to this holiday world opera star Maria Guleghina sang war songs accompanied by a symphony orchestra and choir of the Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" under Dmitry Bertman. A pianist and a soloist of "Helikon-opera" Michael Egiazaryan conducted the orchestra.

Three days before the record, the star held rehearsals in a modest hall of "Helikon-Opera" in Novy Arbat. On May 9 television viewers of 'Culture' TV channel will hear the songs "Oh, the roads," "Here, where the birds do not sing ...", "Cranes", "In the forest near the front," "Come on, light up ..." and other well-known and beloved works performed by by Maria Gulegina.

This program will be shown immediately after a Minute of silence. Diva herself wrote on her official page: "The songs of the war years is something that I constantly heard in his childhood, adolescence and youth, what I have always remembered, and it is impossible to forget the cost of this victory! We would never bring back the youth of our grandmothers and grandfathers, fathers and mothers. For those who survived, a low bow!!! The last thing I want in this program is to seem an opera singer. It is not my voice, which is important, but my soul is important. If it were not for these songs that lifted the spirits of men, there would be no May 1945, and who knows, maybe there would not be me, maybe there would not be a whole generation. Thanks to them, the veterans for everything and a low bow! "

On the same day, soloists, chorus and orchestra of the theater have recorded yet another program "Romantic of Romance", to the 100th anniversary of Tikhon Khrennikov, which will be celebrated on June 10 of this year. Works by Tikhon Khrennikov were performed by young soloists of "Helikon-Opera" Lydia Svyatozarova, Irina Reynard, Konstantin Brzhinsky, Aleksey Isaev, Alexander Miminoshvili, Maxim Perebeynos, Dmitry Skorikov. The symphony orchestra was conducted by music director of the "Helikon " theatre the People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ponkin.
