Artists of "Helikon-opera" congratulated Lev Leschenko with his jubilee

On the 1st of February a festive concert, devoted to 70th anniversary since Lev Leschenko birth, was held in Crocus City Hall. Lev Valeryanovich has been a friend of "Helikon-opera" for many years, he took part in "Die Fledermaus performance by J. Strauss, performing Don Bazilio's part from "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" on Prince Orlovsky's ball. He often visits theatre's performances as an honoured spectator. In 2009 Lev Leschenko produced "Tsarina" opera by D. Tukhmanov, which was staged by "Helikon-opera" theatre together with META Enlightment Fund with the support of Uralsib Financial Company.

That evening Lev Valeryanovich was congratulated by the spouse of the President of Russian Federation Svetlana Medvedeva, speaker of Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, executive officer of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Kozhin, the head of the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations Sergey Shoygu, the chairman of the Chamber of Acounts Sergey Stepashin, the chairman of the Communist Party of Russian Federation Gennady Ziuganov an other honoured guests.

Iosif Kobzon, David Tukhmanov, Gennady Khazanov, Alexandra Pakhmutova, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Nadezhda Babkina, Nikolay Baskov, Philipp Kirkorov, Alexander Malinin, Dmitry Malikov, Vladimir Presnyakov and Vladimir Presnyakov-jr. Maxim Galkin, Alsu, Varvara, Laima Vaikule, Larisa Dolina, Natasha Koroleva, Katya Lel', Alyona Sviridova and other colleagues and pupils of Lev Leschenko performed on n stage of Crocus Cty Hall together with the maitre of the Russian variety art.
