Winter series of "Eugene Onegin" performance in "Helikon-opera"  is marked with the introductions of the new soloists

Winter series of "Eugene Onegin" performance in "Helikon-opera"  is marked with the introductions of the new soloists. Karina Flores performed as Tatiana, Olga Deputatova performed as Olga, Alexey Isaev and Konstantin Brzhinsky, who recently joined the troupe, sang Eugene Onegin, Dmitry Ivanchey and Vadim Letunov sang Lensky. Eugene Ksionda performed as Gilio. For the first time the orchestra was led by young conductor Ayrat Kashayev. This is what the debutants say about their premieres in "Eugene Onegin" in "Helikon-opera".

Dmitry Ivanchey:
"Now I feel Lensky's life in different way. Thanks to the music, the image can develop endlessly. I found so many new interesting sides in him, which I never thougt about before. I am thankful to Dmitry Bertman."

Vadim Letunov:
"Lensky is very close to me. I feel as if he is I am myself. At the Larin's ball I felt that everything happens really. I stopped myself, saying: "Vadim, come back! Stop! You must control the process!"

Chaykovsky and Pushkin are the two geniuses, that is why it cannot be different way. There is nothing so transparent and light, and affecting the human!"

Konstantin Brzhinsky:
"This isn't my first Onegin. I sang about 15 performances in another production. But, actually, it is like for the first time. To get the main part at once is very important and responsible. I got a lot of new information during the rehearsals, which I have to think over and over again. Now it must calm down in my head. My Onegin had changed. There is something new about him, which I cannot fully understand. But there are some new assessments, the cliches went away, because earlier I sang in static classical performance, where few attention was paid to the inner world of the character. We thought of the vocal, how to sing that, how to get the note, while here the work goes upon the things te characters think about, what they feel and survive. 

I knew that there was such kind of work like in "Helikon-opera", but for me it was the first experience, when the director worked with you as with an actor, as if we were playing before the camera and all our thoughts were close-up. 

Alexey Isaev:
"What do I feel? I feel the relief. I have been worrying all night, I couldn't sleep, I heard the part in my head, but I overcame te fear and directed it to the courage.
What the performance gave me? Experience! Professional Moscow's stage hardens oneself. "Helikon" is like a lathe for brilliants. Every singer is a diamond. I have a wonderful partner, Super singer with super tecnique, Karina Flores. Hot. I felt creepy from her voice and the music, when I was sitting in the armchair. This is the most wonderful and the most awful that happened to Onegin in life.

People, who are going to see that opera, will learn something. They'll see it live, it is valuable, but it is not the film, it is the picture of life, which you see. Opera is very important.
