Helikon-Opera tour in Spain
From the 3rd to the 28th of August Helikon-Opera troupe was visiting the most prestigious festival of Europe in San-Sebastian (Spain).
This year the opera program was presented with “Boris Godunov” by Helikon-Opera with theatre's orchestra under Vladimir Ponkin.
The famous Russians like Valery Gergiev with Mariinsky theatre orchestra, Mikhail Pletnev, Vadim Repin, Denis Matsuev and some others participated in the concert program.
Spain met the artists with the wonderful weather, warm waters of Atlantic Ocean, at the shore of which the Kursaal Musicale for 1800 seats is situated. The organizers and Spanish public warmly received the theatre. On both performances the full hall applauded and shouted “bravo” to the soloists of the theatre the Honoured Artists of Russia Larisa Kostiuk, Ksenia Viaznikova, Vadim Zaplechny and Andrey Vylegzhanin, as well as the soloists Maria Makhulia, Marina Kalinina, Peter Morozov, Alexander Kiselev, Dmitry Skorikov, Vasily Efimov, Dmitry Ponomarev, Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Dmitry Khromov, artists of the choir and orchestra.
