Galina Pichurina's jubilee concert

On the 12th of May on stage of "Helikon-Opera" Galina Pichurina, a pedagogue of RATI vocal department, pedagogue-consultant of the theatre, The Honoured Worker of Russia, celebrated her 75th jubilee.

The students of Galina Pichurina took part in the concert. Among them were soloists of "Helikon-Opera" The Honoured Artists of Russia Marina Karpechenko and Larisa Kostiuk, Mikhail Guzhov, Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Dmitry Khromov, Helikon's choir, RATI students and graduates Diana Krupenina, Inna Griaznova, Marina Tsvetkova and Alexander Leushkin. Stage director of the concert Ekaterina Oblezova, presenter - Viacheslav Starodubtsev.

...Galina Pichurina had been singing for the whole life. Being the eight year old girl she was performing in military hospitals for the injured fighters. Since 14 years she was conducting the school choir, at the same time practising in famous V. Loktev's choir in Moscow. After finishing school she entered Moscow Engineering-Physics Insitute, where she was visiting vocal workshop. She performed on many Moscow's stages, received laureates degrees at different contests, created vocal workshop at the factory of electronic machines, where she worked after graduating MEPHI. She brought up two children, while studying in Moscow conservatory. She visited several foreign countries as a member of governmental delegations. She trained many students during her life.

The colleagues from Opera studio of Central House of Medical Workers came to congratulate Galina, and the artists of Et Cetera theatre, with which Galina Ivanovna had been collaborating for some time, delivered personal greeting from Alexander Kalyagin.
