The chorus program of the VI Moscow Easter festival ended with the performance of "Helikon-Opera"

The chorus program of the VI Moscow Easter festival ended with the performance of "Helikon-Opera" in the Moscow church of the Mother of God icon "Consolation of all the Afflicted" in Bolshaya Ordynka. Despite its impressive size, the church couldn't seat all those who wished to listen the spiritual music performed by the chorus of "Helikon-Opera". There were so many guests of the festival and the parish as during the Easter mess. The perfect acoustics and internal church decorations intensified the impression from the concert, which was professionally prepared and beatifully performed. The spectators couldn't control their emotions and applauded after each part.

The solo parts were perfomed by People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, a laureate of international contests Ksenia Viaznikova and artists of the choir Olesya Ogneva and Andrey Palamarchuk. The choir master and conductor was Honoured Artist of Russia Denis Kirpanev. The spiritual works by S. Rakhmaninov, P. Chesnokov and M. Moussorgsky were performed. The performance was devoted to the blessed memory of outstanding musician Mstislav Rostropovich.
