"Nabucco" travels across Russia

On the 26th April in Krasnoyarsk academic theatre of opera and ballet the performance of "Nabucco" (production by Dmitry Bertman) took place in the context of the V Moscow Easter festival. Maestro Valery Gergiev was at the conductor's stand.

The roles were performed by the leading soloists of Mariinsky theatre: Irina Gordey (Abigail), honoured artist of Russia Valery Alexeev (Nabucco), Maxim Aksenov (Ismael), honoured artist of Russia Alexander Morozov (Zaccharia), Ekaterina Semenchuk (Fenena). The performance had a great success. The governor of the Krasnoyarsk region Alexander Khloponin and the head of Unified Energy System of Russia Anatoly Chubays. When the curtain went up and the spectators saw the decorations of Tatiana Tulubieva and Igor Nezhny, the loud ovation was heard. The choir of captive jews sounded tremendously. In the end of the performance the ovation haven't been stopping for twenty minutes.

Today, on 28th April in Khanta-Mansiysk the concert performance of the same opera will be held.
