Dmitry Bertman has staged "The Rake's Progress" in Finnish National Opera

The long-awaited premiere of "The Rake's Progress" by Igor Stravinsky in Dmitry Bertman's production took place in Helsinki, 18th of March.

An international team worked upon the premiere. The set was made by Hartmut Schörghofer (Germany), who already staged "La belle Hélène" and "Das Liebesverbot" in Helikon-opera. The costumes were created by Erika Turunen (Finland), who participated in decoration of Eurovision-2007 contest. Eivind Gulberg Jensen (Norway) conducted the premiere. Choreographer Edwald Smirnov from Helikon-opera has worked about stage movements of actors.

Right after the premiere Dmitry Bertman went to Düsseldorf, where he is going to stage "The Golden Cockerel" by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. The part of Shemakhan Tsarina will be performed by Anna Grechishkina from Helikon-opera..
