A recital of Marina Karpechenko

Solo-concerts of "Helikon-Opera" stars



Marina Karpechenko graduated from Russian academy of music named after Gnessins. Post-graduated in 1995. Among her vocal coaches are L. I. Dianova, A. P. Petrov, A. A. Davtian, T. N. Chachava.  In 1994 she joine the troupe of Moscow musical theatre "Helikon-Opera". In 1997 she performed the main part of Aida in the same name opera by G. Verdi, and in 1999 she sang one of the most difficult lyric-dramatic parts of Macbeth in "Macbeth" by G. Verdi.  Many spectators remember funny Mrs. Ford ("Falstaff" by G. Verdi) and 17 y.o. ("Lulu" by Berg, both are productions of Dmitry Bertman in 2001 and 2002) in Karpechenko's brilliant performing.


Marina Karpechenko participated in "Helikon-Opera" tours in France, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, USA, Israel, China, Lebanon, The Netherlands and Denmark.


The singer has a flexible, expressive voice of a nice warm timbre, which can be described as mobile soprano lirico-spinto.


Besides her work in "Helikon-Opera"  Marina Karpechenko performs in best concert halls of Moscow. She prepared the role of Zinaida in Rossini's "Moses in Egypt", took part in "Sacred music concert for soloists, elocutionist and orchestra of Duke Ellington (Tchaikovski concert hall), performed part of soprano in "The Bells" by Rakhmaninov (Big hall of Moscow conservatotium), all for a couple of days.


The singer takes part in repertoire concerts of Moscow Philarmonic (conductor - Vladimir Ponkin) with J. Brahms, G. Maler, G. Wolf, P. Hindemith, M. Ravel, S. Feinberg, B. Tischenko.


In 2006 Marina Karpechenko was the first one in the world who realized the recording of G. Maler selected works, in B. Tischenko orchestration.


In her solo concert Marina will perform popular arias from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Mascagni, Dvorak, Gershwin. The honoured artist of Russia Larisa Kostiuk, Nikolay Dorozhkin, choir and orchestra of "Helikon-Opera". Conductor - Alexey Osetrov.
