Soloists of Helikon-Opera performed in the State Duma of the Russian Federation

On June 10, 2014 soloists "Helikon-Opera" Alexandra Kovalevich and Alexey Tikhomirov congratulated members and staff of the State Duma of the Russian Federation with the Day of Russia!

The concert took place at the main foyer of the State Duma on Okhotny Ryad.

Before the concert, the Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin greeted the guests. Also the Chief of Staff of the State Duma Jakhan Pollyieva, LDPR fraction leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, and Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut, deputy of the UNITED RUSSIA fraction Valentina Tereshkova congratulated the audience.

Alexandra Kovalevich sang Habanera from "Carmen" by Georges Bizet and Alexei Tikhomirov sang "Along the Piterskaya" urban song. Also the concert was attended by folk artists of Russia Iosif Kobzon, Nicholas Rastorguev and Alexey Goman.
