“Boris Godunov” at Helikon-opera
From 13th to 16th of March by the 175th anniversary since M. P. Moussorgsky birth Helikon-opera presented “Boris Godunov” in D. D. Shostakovich edition in Dmitry Bertman production. The critics found the opera “one of the most interesting and significant productions of Russian operas that we have recently seen” and defined Boris as a “dialogue with classics on its own territory, which is rarely met today”.
Soloists of Helikon-opera Alexey Tikhomirov, Alexander Kiselev, Ilya Ilin, Andrey Palamarchuk, the Honoured Artists of Russia Anna Grechishkina and Marina Kalinina, Maxim Paster, the Honoured Artist of Russia Anna Grechishkina and Marina Kalinina, Maxim Paster, the Honoured Artist of Russia Vadim Zaplechny, Petr Morozov, Konstantin Brzhinsky, Stanislav Shvets, Dmitry Skorikov, Vasily Efimov, Dmitry Ponomarev, the honoured Artists of Russia Larisa Kostiuk and Ksenia Viaznikova, Alexandra Kovalevich, the Honoured Artist of Russia Sergey Toptygin, Alexander Miminoshwili, Olga Spitsina, Maria Maskhulia, Alexey Dedov, Dmitry Khromov, Vladimir Bolotin, Andrey Orekhov, Mikhail Nikanorov, Alexey Vertogradov, Ekaterina Myazina, Marina Beletskaya, Olga Deputatova, Elizaveta Serysheva, artists of choir and orchestra were engaged in the performance. Conductor – the People Artist of Russia Eugene Brazhnik.
