The premiere of "Le Rossignol" by I. Stravinsky in Beirut
On the March 4th, 2014 the premiere of “Le Rossignol” (The Nightingale) by I. Stravinsky after H. C. Andersen tale in Dmitry Bertman production was performed at Al Bustan International Festival in Beirut, Lebanon.
The leading parts were performed by Anna Grechishkina (The Nightingale), Alexey Dedov (Emperor). Andrey Palamarchuk (Fisherman), Maya Barkovskaya (Cook), Maxim Perebeinos (Chamberlain), Dmitry Skorikov (Bonze), Irina Reynard (Death), Dmitry Khromov (1st Japanese emissary), Andrey Orekhov (2nd Japanese emissary), Ilya Ilin (3rd Japanese emissary), artists of the hcoir and orchestra. Vladimir Ponkin conducted the performance.
Moscow’s premiere of the opera, which is rarely performed in Russia, will be presented in “Helikon-opera” on May 7th, 2014.
