"Helikon-opera" soloist was nominated for "The Golden Mask" Russian national theatre prize.

"Helikon-opera" soloist Alexey Tikhomirov was nominated for "The Golden Mask" Russian national theatre prize for the part of Boris Godunov in the same name performance of Yekaterinburg theatre of opera and ballet.

Alexey Tikhomirov has performed roles such as Sobakin and Maluta in Rimsky-Korsakov's The Tsar's Bride, Mephistopheles in Faust, Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Rene in Iolanta, Ruslan in Ruslan and Ludmila, Strafokamil in Erenberg's Vampuka, the African Bride, Boris in Boris Godunov (Rimsky-Korsakov's edition), Il Re and Ramphis in Aida, Dosifey in Khovanshchina, the title part in Don Pasquale, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Philip II in Verdi's Don Carlos, both Prince Galitsky and Konchak in Prince Igor, King Tref in The love for Three Oranges.

Other significant engagements include Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Busetto, Massimiliano Caldi, conductor), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Moscow and Cyprus), Sobakin in The Tsar's Bride (Catania), Boris in Boris Godunov (Shostakovich's edition, Tel Aviv, Miskolc, Sofia, Reggio Emilia, and Massy), Lawyer Kolenaty in Janáček's Vec Makropulos (Moscow), Melnik in Dargomyzhsky's Rusalka (Kazan), Agamemnon in Gluck's Iphigénie en Aulide (Rome, Riccardo Muti, conductor), both Mose and Osiris in Rossini's Moïse et Pharaon (Salzburger Festspiele, Riccardo Muti, conductor), Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni (with Combattimento Consort Amsterdam), Orlik in Mazeppa, Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin, Surin in The Queen of Spades (all in Lyon), both Boris and Pimen in Boris Godunov (Liège and Festival Santander), and his debut at Bolshoi Theater as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte.

In the 2010/11 season Alexey Tikhomirov appeared as Old Gipsy in Aleko and Wurm in Luisa Miller (Lyon), Ramfis in Aida (Opera Queensland, Australia), among others.

In the 2011/12 season he sang the title part in Boris Godunov (Santiago de Chile), Ruslan in Ruslan and Ludmila and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte (both at Bolshoi Theatre), among his performances at Helikon Opera.

Recent and upcoming engagements include Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni (Santiago de Chile and Toulouse), Vodnik in Rusalka (Genève and Monte-Carlo), Lodovico in Otello and Timur in Turandot (Santiago de Chile), Pimen and Boris in Boris Godunov (Bolshoi Theater and Ekaterinburg), Ramfis in Aida (Berlin Staatsoper).

Concert appearances include Rossini's Stabat Mater (Wiener Philharmoniker, Musikverein Vienna, Graz), Cherubini's Messe Solenelle (Wiener Philharmoniker, Riccardo Muti, conductor), Haydn's Die Sieben letzten Worte (Osterklang Festival, Riccardo Muti, conductor), Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium (Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow, Vladimir Fedoseev, conductor), Mozart's Vesperae solennes de confessore (Munich, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Symphonieorchester des BR, Riccardo Muti, conductor), concerts at Opéra de Monte Carlo (Dimitry Jurowski, conductor), and at St. Petersburg Philharmonia (Mikhail Tatarnikov, conductor).
