Premiere of "Love Forever" concert program
On October 31 Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" presented "Love Forever" concert program at the Moscow State Variety Theatre. The program consisted of major pop hits of the XXth century, all recognizable from the first notes. “All You Need Is Love” by “The Beatles” gave the name to the program. Soloists of "Helikon- Opera" performed songs of Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Chris de Burgh, Tom Jones, Demis Roussos, Tina Turner, Charles Aznavour, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Delilah, Marilyn Monroe, Adriano Celentano, Elton John and others famous artists all over the planet.
Famous songs have gained a new look performed by People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, Honored Artist of Russia Xenia Vyaznikova, Elena Mikhaylenko, Maya Barkovskaya, Lydia Svyatozarova, Irina Reynard, Maria Maskhulia, Andrey Palamarchuk, Maxim Perebeinos, Konstantin Brzhinsky, Aleksey Isaev, Alexander Miminoshvili, Dmitry Skorikov, Alexei Tikhomirov, Dmitry Khromov, Vasily Efimov, chorus and orchestra of "Helikon-opera". The orchestra was conducted by Valery Kir'yanov .
Famous composer Kirill Umansky, the laureate of the BBC’s first contest of contemporary Russian composers on YouTube and the owner of "Golden Mask", prepared the arrangements. Umansky works both with academic ensembles and with rock bands and believes that there is nothing impossible for a symphony orchestra : "The orchestra melts everything". Thanks to a well-known businessman and philanthropist Michael Kusnirovich, soloists, chorus and actors will appear on the stage, dressed in Bosco di Ciliegi attires.
When the program was up, the artistic director of the Variety Theater Gennady Khazanov entered the stage and said: "Once upon a time , sixteen years ago, when I had just headed the Variety theatre, I addressed a proposal to Dmitry Bertman to do something together. Then we had a wonderful performance of " Die Fledermaus" here on this stage. Now, after so many years, we have made the new project. Wonderful actors work in “Helikon-opera”, and the main help for them is do not get in their way. I'm glad the real culture is back to Variety theatre".
The premiere of "Love Forever" concert program was a birthday present from the troupe to its artistic director Dmitry Bertman, who was born exactly on October, 31.
