Artists of "Helikon-Opera" opened the First annual Festival of Arts "Silver Birds" at the Vnukovo airport
On October, 1 artists of "Helikon -Opera" opened the First annual Festival of Arts "Silver Birds" at the Vnukovo airport. The festival was dedicated to the International Day of Music, its audience included air passengers, meeting and seeing off. It is planned that the festival will be held annually. At the opening General Manager of Vnukovo Airport Vasily Alexandrov said: "I hope this musical celebration will be a great amusement to passengers and airport employees".
The festival opened with a gala-concert and "Kalinka Opera" performance by "Helikon-Opera". The works by Borodin, Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Puccini, J. Strauss and other composers and the folk songs were performed. The presentation was attended by People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, the Honored Artist of Russia Anna Grechishkina and Xenia Vyaznikova, soloists Maya Barkovskaya, Alexandra Kovalevich, Irina Samoilova, Lydia Svetozarova, the Honored Artist of Russia Andrey Vylegzhanin, soloists Peter Morozov, Dmitry Skorikov, Andrey Palamarchuk, Maxim Perebeinos, Dmitry Ponomarev, Dmitry Khromov, artists of the choir and orchestra of the theater. Conductor Valery Kiryanov. The State Academic Theatre of Classical Ballet under N. Kasatkina and V. Vassilyov, the art group "Heavenly crew", jazz singer Marina Volkova and Anton Rumyantsev’s jazz band, poet Max Ginsburg also took part in the festival.
A good tradition of cooperation of the Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" and Vnukovo airport develops. In 2012 the soloists, chorus and orchestra took part in the opening ceremony of a new international passenger terminal of Vnukovo airport. This event was also attended by the world famous singers Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. "Helikon-Opera" took part in the festive event, dedicated to the day of lovers, when the author of the most romantic greeting, broadcasted in the Vnukovo airport, received tickets to the theater’s premiere performance. In addition, the leadership of the airport actively supported “Helikon-opera” during the staging of «WWW.NIBELUNGOPERA.RU» performance, the action of which took place in the cabin of the aircraft.
