"Helikon-opera" opens its 24th season. The meeting of the troupe will take place in Bolshaya Nikitskaya!

On the 5th of August the 24th meeting of the troupe will take place in "Helikon-opera" at 13.00. The artists will gather in historical building in Bolshaya Nikitskaya, 19/16, where the restoration with adjustment has been carried out for the 8th year. Since 2007, "Helikon-Opera" is working in Novy Arbat, 11, in a hall, which is not adapted for the musical theater. However, thanks to the continued support of the Department of Culture of Moscow and its loyal audience, the theater was able to keep the troupe, despite difficult conditions, and to expand the repertoire and the tour geography from Moscow to Vladivostok in Russia and Bangkok abroad.

But all these years the theater was living the dream of returning to the "historic homeland" in Bolshaya Nikitskaya 19/16. Through all 2013 the Government of Moscow led restoration and reconstruction work in the enhanced mode, which allows you to open the new season 2014/2015 in Bolshaya Nikitskaya. Of course, the opening is still conditional. At present, work on the restoration and technical equipment of the new scene is in full swing. Builders are doing their best to comply with the order of Sergei Sobyanin and complete the restoration of a historic building until the end of 2013. Fully theater will be ready no later than 2014.

On August 5th. artistic director nof "Helikon-opera" People's Artist of Russa, Professor Dmitry Bertman will personally guide a tour in Bolshaya Nikitskaya. Artists and journalists, who will come that day, will have the opportunity to make their own opinion about the progress of the restoration of the theater, how close is it to the opening, they will be able communicate directly with the city and the theater managers. In addition to the formal part, there will be a performance!
