Artists of "Helikon-opera" performed at 153rd General Assembly of International Expositions Bureau
On the 11th of June in the context of 153rd General Assembly of International Expositions Bureau, the presentations of the cities, who pretend to host EXPO-2020, took place in Paris.
One of the city was Ekaterinburg. Russia was presented by the Deputy of the Head of the Government of Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich and Director General of “Commitee of Applications for EXPO-2020” Erik Bugulov.
The presentation was held at the hall, which was specially built near Pont Alexandre III in the centre of Paris. The creative part of presentation was presented by the concert of choir and soloists of Moscow musical theatre “Helikon-opera” under Dmitry Bertman. The soloists Konstantine Brzhinsky, Ali Magomedov, Alexander Miminoshwili, Irina Reynard and Lidiya Svetozarova took part in the program. The Honoured Artist of Russia Anna Grechishkina, dressed as Catherine II, opened the presentation with a foreword.
“Helikon-opera” artists presented famous works by G. Bizet, J. Offenbach, G. Rossini, C. Saint-Saens, P. I. Tchaikovsky. The famous Russian songs “Along the Piterskaya street”, “Black eyes”, “Kalinka” and some other were warmly accepted.
