On the 16th of May the Round table "Young people and classical music: the problems of attracting yound audience and their solutions", organized in the context of NAMM MUSIKMESSE Russia Exhibition, was held at Expocenter. The stage director and soloist of "Helikon-opera" Viacheslav Starodubstev took part in the event.
Organizers: Russian state musical teleradiocenter, "Orpheus" radio. Participants: Dmitry Sibirtsev, Vladislav Piavko, Elena Ezerskaya, Alexander Sharikov, Alexey Isaighev, Josi Tavor, Susanna Grudinova, Igor Ovrutsky and many others.
Viacheslav Starodubstev answered one of the questions, asked by Nadezhda Kuziakova, the moderato of the Round table.
We all know that Dmitry Bertman and "Helikon-opera" theatre initiated NANO-opera contest. Tell us, Viacheslav, if there was something beautiful in what you saw during contest?
Viacheslav Starodubtsev: I'll tell you what... In my opininon this is the grandiose project! It is grandiose, because all the participants together with the organizing committee and the high jury elaborated together what musical theatre is for today and who is able to retranslate the profession of stage director and actor of musical theatre to the world today.
