Artists of "Helikon-opera" took part in a charity concert
On the 11th of March in State Academic Theatre named after E. Vakhtangov the first charity concert from "The one, who saves, is saved" was held in the context of "Crystal Turandot" theatre prize. The establisher of the prize Boris Belenkiy said the funds will be used to help the artists of Russian provincial theatres.
Alina Ilinykh became the first recipient of this aid. Alina is a granddadaughter of Nikolay Laptev, the ex-director of Tobolsk Drama Theatre named after Ershov, who tragically died in the automobile accident. Alina was with him in the car and since them she is struggling with the disease.The girl is going to receive medical care in Israel.
The famous Russian artists performed on stage of Vakhtangov's theatre. Among them were Vasily Lanovoy, Irina Kupchenko, Evgenia Simonova, Julia Ruthberg, Oleg Mityaev, Olga Kabo (the presenter of the evening) and some others. Artists of "Helikon-opera" performed "Couplets d'Olympia" from "Les Contes d'Hoffmann by J. Offenbach and Roberto's aria from "Iolanta" by P. I. Tchaikovsky. They also presented Alina with a beautiful handmade doll.
