The premiere of «WWW.NIBELUNGOPERA.RU»
On the 27th of February in Moscow Musical Theatre “Helikon-opera” under Dmitry Bertman the premiere of WWW.NIBELUNGOPERA.RU performance, devoted to R. Wagner’s 200th anniversary, was held. The performance was named in honour of the most ambitious work of German genius, the tetralogy "The Ring of the Nibelung." The performance consists of vocal and symphonical fragments from all of 13 operas by R. Wagner, including the rare ones like “Die Feen”, “Rienzi”, “Das Liebesverbot”, “Parsifal”, etc... Mostly, these are the finals, where the passions of German gods and legendary knights reach superhuman power.

According to Dmitry Bertman: "We selected the most sensual parts of Wagner's works. There was a mystical thing. We specified with the selection of numbers, put them in chronological order, so that we start with “Die Feen” and end with "Parsifal". And on the first orchestral rehearsal everybody was shocked: we got the impression that this is one opera, one whole piece - there are no seams, everything flows one into another. Even discoveries occurred, for example, when there were operas together, which we would never hear together, we heard the tune of "Valkyrie" in the aria "Flying Dutchman".

The set of the performance underlines the modernity of Wagner’s music. The action takes place in the cabin of the aircraft. The real avia equipment was used, the details and accesories of the aircraft. Valkyrie maidens turned to be modern air fairies - flight attendants, and brave German soldiers became pilots - conquerors of the air spaces.

Honored Artist of Russia Ksenia Viaznikova, Marina Karpechenko Svetlana Sozdateleva, winners of international competitions Maya Barkovskaya, Elena Mikhailenko, Karina A. Flores, Xenia Lisanskaya, Alex Dedov, Alexei Isaev, Ali Magomedov, Dmitry Ponomarev, Stanislav Shvets are engaged in the performance. The director of the play - the People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Bertman. Musical Director and Conductor - People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ponkin. Sets and costumes - Honored Artist of Russia - Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubeva. Light Designer - Honored Artist of Russia Damir Ismagilov. Chorusmaster - Yevgeny Ilyin. Choreographer - Edvald Smirnov.
