On November, 21 Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito" opera was performed in Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music in the context of "Helikon-opera theatre" presents" season ticket. One of the last works of the great composer is an absolute rarity in Moscow's playbills. Despite the fact that the Russian premiere took place in 1817 in St. Petersburg, the performance of this opera in Russia is extremely rare.
The premiere of "La Clemenza di Tito" directed by the artistic director of "Helikon-opera" Dmitry Bertman was held in 2004 in the ancient theater of Merida in Spain. In Moscow, the performance was shown only once in January 2006 in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall at the opening of the festival, dedicated to the 250th anniversary since the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Specially for this presentation a very shallow, but also large swimming pool was set on stage for the first time in the history of Tchaikovsky Hall.
