Concert of sacred music in the Vysokopetrovsky Monastery
On June 23rd Moscow Musical Theatre "Helikon-Opera" under Dmitry Bertman presented a concert of sacred music of Russian composers for the parishioners, pilgrims and residents of Moscow at the church of St. Sergius in Vysoko-Petrovsky Monastery. The concert was performed by the choir of "Helikon-opera" theatre. Choirmaster - The Honoured Artists of Russia Denis Kirpanev, soloists - The Honored Artist of Russia Larisa Kostiuk and winner of international competitions Andrew Palamarchuk.
The program of the concert included "Vigil" by S. Rachmaninoff, "The Virgin is vigilant in prayer" "Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom," "Let my prayer ..." P. Chesnokov, "The Angel Cried" by M. Mussorgsky and some other works.
Despite the weekend and holiday season, the concert brought together a considerable number of people and was warmly received.
