A festive concert in Pushkin's honour
On the 6th of June, A. S. Pushkin's birthday, at a pedestal of the main poet's monument in Moscow, at Pushkin's square, the students of the musical faculty of Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts (Dmitry Bertman's workshop) presented their festive program.
The poems, romances and arias from “Eugene Onegin”, “The Queen of Spades” by P. I. Tchaikovsky and “Russalka” by A. S. Dargomyzhsky were performed from stage. The three hour concert was accepted enthusiastically by Pushkin devotees and worshippers, who came to this historical place to express their love and respect to the great Russian poet.
The producer of the concert was Dmitry Bertman, stage director Galina Timakova. The students of the 1st grade of Dmitry Bertman’s workshop in RATA and its graduates took part in the concert, among them were Alexander Miminoshwili and Lidiya Svetozarova, who are already the artists of “Helikon-Opera”. The presenters were RATA graduates Viacheslav Starodubtsev and Tatiana Savina, who both lecture in the Academy at present.
