"Helikon-Opera" tour to Ufa

From the 16th to 19th of June “Helikon-Opera” was touring Ufa. “Tsarina” opera by D. Tukhmanov in D. Bertman’s production was performed on stage of Bashkir State Theatre of Opera and Ballet on the 17th and 18th of June. The tour was organized by META Enlightment  Fund under the financesupport of URALSIB company.

The soloists of “Helikon-Opera” the Honoured Artists of Russia Larisa Kostiuk (Empress Catherine the Great), Elena Mikhailenko (Catherine II), Maya Barkovskaya (Duchess Catherine), Dmitry Ponomarev (Count Orlov), Alexander Kiselev (NikitaPanin), Peter Morozov (Grigory Potemkin), the Honoured Artist of Russia Andrey Vylegzhanin (Prince Potemkin-Tavrichesky), Dmitry Khromov (Platon Zubov), the Honoured Artist of Russia Elena Gushchina (Countess Brius, The General’s Wife Liven), Marina Kalinina (Alexandrina), Oleg Ryabets (Gustav IV), Andrey Palamarchuk (1st Guard, 1st Ambassador), Alexander Miminoshwili (2nd Guard, 2nd Ambassador), Andrey Reichel (Peter III), artists of the choir and orchestra were engaged in the performance. Conductor – Kostantin Chudovsky.

The Minister of Culture and National Policy of Bashkortostan Republic Ildus Ilishev with his spouse, The Minister of Finance of Bashkortostan Republic Airat Gaskarov, The Deputy of Kurultay (Council) of Bashkortostan Alexander Antonov, businessmen Mikhail Pilugin and many other were among the VIP spectators.

URALSIB company held a rout for their partners and clients. The chairman of board of the corporation Ildar Muslimov spoke at the meeting. He told why URALSIB helped to produce “Tsarina” by D. Tukmanov.

Ufa is making itself famous on the cultural map of Russia: International Ballet Festival named after Rudolf Nureev is held here annually. But the opera production from Moscow was warmly received as well. Artists of “Helikon-Opera” performed in Bashkiria for the first time, but were satisfied with the reception.
