The season of 2009-2010 will finish in "Helikon-Opera" only in July
The XXth season continues in "Helikon-Opera". "Kaffeekantate" by J. S. Bach (the 23rd of June), "Aida" by G. Verdi (from the 24th of June to 27th of June) will be performed until the end of July. The main parts are performed by Karina Grigoryan, Ksenia Viaznikova, Larisa Kostiuk, Elena Mikhailenko, Vadim Zaplechny, Dmitry Ponomarev, Mikhail Guzhov, Dmitry Skorikov. The conductors are Vladimir Ponkin (26th of June), Denis Kirpanev (25th and 27th of June) and Eugene Ilin (24th of June).
The July will begin with the series of performances “Gershwin-gala” (from the 1st to 4th of July). Natalia Zagorinskaya, Maria Maskhulia, Elena Semenova, Marina Kalinina, Maya Barkovskaya, Ekaterina Trebeleva, Svetlana Sozdateleva, Nikolay Dorozhkin, Alexey Dedov, Alexander Kiselev, Oles Paritskiy and others. Conductor – Konstantin Chudovsky. On the 7th of July another “Kaffeekantate” will be performed, from the 8th till 11th of June the premiere of this season “The Love for Three Oranges” by S. Prokofiev will be performed. Vladimir Ponkin, Denis Kirpanev, Konstantin Chudovsky are at the conductor’s stand on different days. The parts are played by the stars of “Helikon-Opera”.
The season will end with “Tsarina” by D. F. Tukhmanov perfomance in Bolshoi theatre on the 21st and 22nd of July. Before that “The Tsarina” will be shownon stage of Bashkir State Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Ufa city. The tour was organized by the META Enlightment Fund.
The artists of “Helikon-Opera” won’t have a long vacation. “Boris Godunov” by M. Moussorgsky (in D. Shostakovich edition) will be shown on musical festivals in Spanish cities of San Sebastian and San Feliu in in August.
The new season will open on the 4th and 5th September with “Opera Fairy-tale Welcomes Guests”. For the first time “Helikon-Opera” united all performances, devoted to children, into a special series “Helikon to Children”. Gala-concert “Multik-Opera”, the premiere of which is taking place during school vacation, will be added to series.
On the 29th of September the premiere of “Mozart and Salieri. Requiem”, united opera by N. Rimsky-Korsakov and “Requiem” by W. A. Mozart. The stage director Dmitry Bertman, musical director Konstantin Chudovsky, stage and costume designers by Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubieva.
