"A duet of Tallinn and Moscow"
On the 25th of May the concert with Estonian artists and soloists of Moscow Musical Theatre Helikon-Opera under Dmitry Bertman will take place on stage of National Opera of Estonia in Tallin in the context of Moscow Days.
"Helkon-Opera" and its Artistic Director are closely connected with Estonia, Tallinn and National Opera of Estonia. Two operas in Dmitry Bertman's production included in repertoire of Estonian theatre, they are "The Love for Three Oranges" by Sergey Prokofiev (the set and costume designers Igor Nezny and Tatiana Tulubieva from "Helikon-Opera") and one of the most important performances of National Opera, the premiere of 2007, the antifaschist opera "Wallenberg" by Estonian composer Erki Sven-Tuur. For this production Dmitry Bertman was awarded by Order of Santa Maria Land. Dmitry Bertman is also a laureate of Estonian State Prize and Estonian Theatrical Union Prize. Soloists artists of the choir and artists of "Helikon-Opera" theatre have been touring Estonia several times, taking part in International Birgitta Festival.
On the 25th of May the stage directors of the concert Dmitry Bertman ("Helikon-Opera") and Naeme Kuningas (National Opera of Estonia) are presenting the program with a symbolic name "A duet of Tallinn and Moscow". The conductors of the concert are Helikon's Constantin Chudovsky and Estonian Mikhail Gertz. Estonian and Russian soloists will perform the hits of the world's opera repertoire from Mozart till Gershwin.
The soloists of "Helikon-Opera" The People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, The Honoured Artists of Russia Larisa Kostiuk and Vadim Zaplechny, laureates of International contests Elena Mikhailenko, Irina Samoilova and Mikhail Guzhov participating in the concert from Russian side.
