Helikon-Opera tour to Baku
From the 30th of November till 7th of December "Helikon-Opera" was touring Baku, the capital of Azerbaidjan. It is the fourth time "Helikon" visited this hospitable city. Baku spectators already applauded to "La Finta Giardiniera", "Carmen", "Traviata" and this time to "Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss.
The Honoured Artists of Russia Anna Grechishkina (Adel), Ksenia Viaznikova (Orlovsky) and Vadim Zaplechny (Eisenstein), soloists Maya Barkovskaya (Rosalinda), Mikhail Davydov (Falk), Dmitry Skorikov (Frank), Andrey Palamarchuk (Alfred), Viacheslav Starodubtsev (Blind), Marina Kalinina (Ida), Alexey Dedov (Frosch), Oxana Kholeva (dancer), Mikhail Laverov, Marvey Matveyev and Yuri Ustiugov (clowns). The big friend of the theatre The Honoured Worker of Arts of Azerbaidjan Yalcin Adigezalov was at the conductors’s stand.
As usually, Baku met the artists of the theatre with the good weather and the hospitality of organizers. Besides rehearsals and performances, artists made excursions around the city, visited spa-procedures in a hotel and generous banquets and receptions, given by organizers.
“Helikon-Opera” theatre is thankful to rector of Moscow State University branch in Baku, the Artistic Director of UNS theatre, a wonderful person and a charming woman Nargiz Pashaeva, as well as to producer of the project, a big friend of the theatre Atesh Rzaev for our unforgettable tour.
