"Him and Her" in Moscow International House of Music


At the eve of Saint Valentine's Day, on the 13th of February, soloists of "Helikon-Opera" made a present to all beloved ones. "Him and Her" concert, which took place in Moscow International House of Music, was devoted to eternal theme of a relationship between a man and a woman.


Gender questions were solved at the examples of works by Russian and foreign classical composers by the Honoured Artists of Russia Alisa Gitsba, Elena Ionova, Marina Karpechenko and Sergey Toptygin, as well as Irina Samoilova, Mikhail Verbitsky, David Gvinianidze, Dmitry Skorikov. Romances and songs on the music of M. Glinka, A Dargomyzhsky, G. Sviridov, M. Moussorgsky, S. Rakhmaninov, M. de Falla, G. Rossini, A. Tsfasman. The piano part was performed by Mikhail Egizaryan and Honoured Artists of Russia Natalia Aroutiunova, who performed the duet by G. Portnov "Brela ya vecherom" to the surprise of the public. The guitarists Suren Mirzoyan and Leonid Morozov, harpists The Honoured Artist of Russia Ilona Nokelainen and Oksana Zadoenko.


The thankful public gave the performers an ovation after the concert.
