Artists of the choir are the best sportsmen of "Helikon-Opera"

On 17th September 2006 artists of the choir of "Helikon-Opera" took place in amateur races on the carting route in Izmailovo. As the number of people who wished to participate was higher than the number of "bolids", the group was divided into teams: women (Alla Alimova, Olga Zhilina, Maria Liepa, Galina Solomatina, Svetlana Tikhomirova) and men (Artyom Davydov, Valery Kiryanov, Dmitry Korotkov, Alexey Tikhomirov). For most of the sportsmen it was the first experience of carting, only V. Kiryanov, D. Korotkov, and A. Solomatin earlier took part in similar races.

Everybody was in a good mood, the weather was perfect and all these caused the hard fight on the route, both in women's and men's teams. But nobody lost. The participants got a lot of excitement and it is planned to organize such events more often.
