Helikon-opera starts its 37th season

On August 18 at 6:30 PM, a solemn meeting of the troupe will take place in the Stravinsky Hall to mark the opening of the 37th season of the Moscow Musical Theatre Helikon-Opera.

At the meeting, the results of the past 36th season will be announced, along with the theatre's creative plans for the 2026/2027 season.

The 36th season featured many vibrant, unforgettable events that have already become part of Helikon's annals. It culminated with the grand premiere of A.P. Borodin's Prince Igor, directed by People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Bertman.

The first events of the 37th season include the premiere performances of A.P. Borodin's Prince Igor and the Shostakovich Instead Chaos festival, dedicated to the 120th anniversary since birth of outstanding composer.

The theater's repertoire for the 2026/2027 season will be rich and diverse.
