NANO-OPERA HAS NAMED THE WINNERS!
NANO-OPERA has named the winners!
On May 24 the final gala concert of the VI International Competition of Young Opera Directors "Nano-Opera" took place on the stage of the Stravinsky Hall and we learned the names of the winners!
The hosts of the concert, Alexey Frandetti and Ksenia Lisanskaya, kept the intrigue to the end – the artists of the Helikon-opera Theatre have performed before the audience, they presented the best competitive works created by young stage directors.
The first place was awarded to Ekaterina Berez (Russia, Moscow), the second to Leonid Lavrovsky (Russia, Moscow), the third to Fyodor Shalagin (Russia, Moscow) and Konstantin Kamynin (Russia, Moscow). The prize to Ekaterina Berez was presented by the famous Italian opera director Giancarlo del Monaco, the son of the great tenor Mario del Monaco.
A special media prize (a Parker pen from the bookstore “Moscow” and an interview on the website of the Russian News Agency TASS) was awarded to Ekaterina Berez.
The members of the media-jury according to tradition also have awarded their prizes to:
Ekaterina Berez – from the critical-publicistic magazine Musical Life an interview, from the TV-channel Russia-Culture a certificate for staging one of the programs of the competition Big Opera in the new season, from Radio Orpheus the participation in the program Tavor in Major; a certificate for 100,000 rubles for advertising promotion in the networking service Vkontakte;
Fedor Shalagin – from the portal Rewizor.ru an interview “For a bold look on the world hit”, from Radio Orpheus the prize “For an attentive and sensitive attitude to the musical component of the performance” the participation in the program Tavor in Major;
Leonid Lavrovsky – from the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets an interview “The best provocation in the Nano-Opera”, from Rossiyskaya gazeta an interview;
Konstantin Kamynin – from the portal Vash dosug an Interview;
Tatiana Stolbovskaya – from the newspaper Nezavisimaya gazeta an interview;
Andrey Steshets – from the portal ClassicalMusicNews.ru an interview “For opposing traditions”, from Radio of Russia an interview broadcast “For the creative approach, innovative solutions and delicate work with artists”.
We thank the excellent soloists, the brilliant choir and all the services of the Helikon-opera that supported the participants throughout the competition! We thank the jury headed by Dmitry Bertman and the media jury! Special thanks to our information partner, the TV-channel Russia-Culture, whose wonderful staff have been with us all these days to organize broadcasts of the Nano-Opera’s rounds! Our beloved spectators followed with passion and interest the stage-director's battles and chose their winners – they became Konstantin Kamynin and Fedor Shalagin. Thanks also to the announcers of the competition – charming Ksenia Lisanskaya and the impeccable gentleman Alexei Frandetti!
The VI International Competition for young opera directors was organized by the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow and ANCO Opera.
