On 17 June the leading soloist of the theatre Dmitry Ovchinnikov invites his spectators into the white-columned hall of Princess Shakhovskaya to a concert, devoted to Italian and German comic Opera. In the evening's program there are Intermezzo of Domenico Cimarosa "Il Maestro di Cappella", arias and duets from operas by Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti.
The winner of the prestigious international competition "Belvedere" Dmitry Ovchinnikov – one of the few basses of Moscow, who is able to captivate the audience with charm and charisma, rich in nuance in the performance, impeccable technique and acting passion. The acknowledged master of character roles, he perfected his vocal skills at the famous Italian teachers such as Giandomenico Bisi, Gloria Borelli, Alfredo Mariotti. Dmitry Ovchinnikov applauded the audience of the Vienna chamber Opera, theatres of Santiago, Chile and São Carlos in Lisbon, the Bolshoi theatre of Russia, Novaya Opera . His vocal art was highly commended at the festival durance Luberon in France, "Parade of Opera stars" in Krasnoyarsk and other.
On the stage of "Helikon-Opera" Dmitry Ovchinnikov has performed more than 30 operatic roles, creating a whole gallery of comic and grotesque characters: Varlaam ("Boris Godunov" by M. Mussorgsky), Dodon (the "Golden Cockerel" by Rimsky-Korsakov), Cook (the "Love for three oranges" by Prokofiev), Frank ("Die Fledermaus" by Strauss). But truly a masterpiece in the singer's extensive repertoire recognized his parts in Bass-Buffo repertoire.
Solo recital of Dmitry Ovchinnikov is a costume parade of Opera characters, revealing the extraordinary comic gift and the skill of the actor's transformation. The public will meet the heroes of the operas "The Magic flute" by Mozart, "Italian in Algiers" by Rossini, "Don Pasquale", "Rita" and «L’elisir d'amore «by Donizetti. Jewelry of the concert will be an Intermezzo by Domenico Cimarosa, "Il Maestro di Cappella"– sparkling Opera Buffa for the bass, which in a grotesque manner will tell about the challenges of working with the conductor of the orchestra.
