A concert of Andrey Korobeynikov in "Helikon-opera"

 

On the 19th of January, 2016 a pianist Andrey Korobeinikov presents his program "The Unheard Classics" on the stage of Stravinsky hall of Helikon-Opera.

"A lyric among physicists", "the uncrowned winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2007", "the earnest and the true servant of art", the pianist Andrey Korobeynikov in his 20 years won more than 20 prizes in various competitions in Russia, USA, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and other countries. Among them the Ist Prize at the IIId International Piano Competition named after A. N. Skryabin in Moscow (2004) and the IInd prize and the Prize of the Audience at the IInd International Piano Competition named after S. V. Rachmaninoff in Los Angeles (2005).

The pianist gives more than 80 concerts a year, performing at the main concert stages of the world: the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Big Hall of the Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg, Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Wigmore Hall in London, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Suntory Hall and Hamarikyu Hall in Tokyo and others. Touring map of the artist covers more than 40 countries on all continents!

Concert "The Unheard Classics" in Stravinsky Hall will be the first performance of Andrey Korobeinikov in Helikon-Opera. The program of the evening includes the first version of Sonata №2 for Piano and Concerto for Piano and Orchestra №1 by S. Rachmaninoff, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra №1 by P. I. Tchaikovsky in the author's final editing.

A symphonic Orchestra of Helikon-Opera directed by People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ponkin will take part in the concert.
