A concert in the memory of composer Georgiy Sviridov took part in Helikon-opera

The program of the evening, organized by Helikon-Opera together with Elena Obraztsova Foundation, covered different areas of the composer's works: songs and romances on verses of Russian poets, symphonic and oratorio works.

The concert brought together the artists of different generations to the stage of Helikon-Opera. The People's Artist of the USSR Alexander Vedernikov (bass) was a special guest of the evening. Soloist of the Hamburg State Opera Vladimir Baikov, soloists of "Helikon-Opera" Mikhail Davydov, Honored Artist of Russia Elena Semenova, Igor Morozov, the soloist of Novaya Opera Moscow theater Yulia Mennibaeva and soloist of the National Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk instruments named after N. I. Osipov Daria Rubtsova took part in the concert.

The Moscow Chamber Choir conducted by Vladimir Minin performed fragments of "Poem in memory of Sergei Yesenin" and the "Pushkin's wreath" cycle. Orchestra of Helikon-opera performed the Musical illustrations for Pushkin's novel "Snowstorm" (conductor - People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ponkin).

The hits of the program were rare recordings of Sviridov's works by Elena Obraztsova and author.
