Premiere of "Sadko" in Helikon-opera
"Sadko" epic opera by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov's on libretto by V. I. Belsky in Dmitry Bertman's production was the first performance, shown in the new Stravinsky Hall of Helikon-Opera after reconstruction.
Stage machinery, which is now the theatre equipped with, fully allowed to see the wonders of the opera like transferring from the land to the seabed and returning back to the earth. Fabulous video projections served a mesmerizing scenery of the production.
The premiere performances of 12, 14 and 15 November was performed by: Sadko - Vadim Zaplechny, Igor Morozov, Lyubava - Larisa Kostiuk, Julia Gornostaeva Irina Reynard, Ocean-Sea - Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Dmitry Skorikov, Stanislav Shvets, Water Tsarina - Xenia Lisanskaya, Volkhova - Elena Semenova Elena Mikhailenko, Lydia Svetozarova Elena Semenova, The Varangian - Mikhail Guzhov, Alexander Kiselyov, The Indian - Maxim Paster, Vasily Efimov, The Venetian - Alexei Isaev, Maxim Perebeinos, Foma Nazarich - Dmitry Ponomarev, Dmitry Khromov, Luka Zinovich - Michael Nikanorov, Dmitry Yankovsky, Nezhata - Vadim Volkov, Daler Nazarov, Duda - Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Dmitry Yankovsky, Sopel - Anatoly Ponomarev, Vladimir Bolotin, Voice of St. Nikolas - Andrei Vilegzhanin, Sergei Toptygin, Children of Sadko and Lyubava - Valentina Gorokhova, Lev Kazmin, Anna Melnikova, Yaroslav Mikheev, Sofia Neverova. Choir and orchestra of "Helikon-Opera" were also engaged in the perfromances. Conductors - Vladimir Ponkin, Valery Kiryanov, Andrey Shlyachkov.
The next performances will be held on November 17, 18, 28 and 29, December 1 and 2. The entire troupe, the masters and the young generation, is engaged in the production.
