Kirill Popov

Born in 2000 in Michurinsk, Tambov region. After graduating from the Moscow regional musical college of S.S. Prokofiev (class of L. Domareva), Kirill continued his studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of People's Artist of Russia Petr Skusnichenko). He is currently a fifth-year student at the Vocal Faculty.
During his years at the Conservatory he sang Triquet (Eugene Onegin by Pyotr Tchaikovsky), Gastone (La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi Verdi), Dante (Francesca da Rimini by Sergei Rachmaninoff), Almeric (Iolanta by Pyotr Tchaikovsky), Young Gypsy (Aleko by Sergei Rachmaninoff), Alfredo (La traviata by Guiseppe Verdi) in the Conservatory’s Opera House.
He participated in concert performances: The Maid of Pskov by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (Yaroslavl, the Centre for Performance Arts Millennium), Francesca da Rimini by Sergei Rachmaninoff (Omsk Philharmonic Hall), The Snow Maiden by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (Moscow, Concert complex Philharmonic-2), Carmen by Georges Bizet (Moscow, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall).
From September 2024 to July 2025, Kirill undertook the internship at the Moscow Musical Theater Helikon-opera as part of the III Young Opera Artists Programme, after which he was accepted to the troupe of the theater as a soloist.
During the season he performed the roles: Nathanael in Les Contes d’Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach, Almeric in Iolanta by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Pong in Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, Platon Zubov in Tsarina by David Tukhmanov, in the repertory performances of the theater.
Kirill is a regular participant in concerts at various venues in Moscow and other Russian cities and he has also performed at concert venues in Latin American countries (Colombia, Peru and Guatemala).
He took part in master classes by Dmitry Korchak, Michael Paul, Salvatore Fisichella, Alexey Isaev, Marina Mescheriakova, Albina Shagimuratova, Larisa Rudakova.
Laureate of national and international competitions, including the Delphic Games (II Prize, Omsk, 2019), the International Singing Competition Margarita Landa (I Prize, Moscow, 2020), the International Vocal Competition Masterpieces of Russian music named Natalia Spiller (I Prize, Moscow, 2021), the International Competition Pianovoce of Vocal-Piano Duos "" (II prize, 2024), diploma winner of the XXVII International Glinka Competition of Vocalists (Moscow, 2024), winner of a special prize from the Elena Obraztsova Foundation, prize-holder of the 3rd degree of the Vocal Competition at the XXXVIII S.V. Festival of Leonid Sobinov (Saratov, 2025).
Scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
Participant of the VIII season of the TV project Big-Opera (2025) on the TV-channel Russia-Culture.
