Natalia Chernova

Born in Omsk, she graduated from the V. Ya. Shebalin Omsk College of Music, then from the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, specializing in Musical and Theater Arts (class of Honored Artist of Russia L. B. Rudakova). Natalia also continued her studies as an assistant professor at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. In performances of the Moscow State Conservatory Opera House on the Great Hall stage, she performed the following roles: Tatiana ("Eugene Onegin" by P.I. Tchaikovsky), Mimi ("La Bohème" by G. Puccini), Zemfira ("Aleko" by S.V. Rachmaninoff), Iolanta ("Iolanta" by P. I. Tchaikovsky), Lauretta ("Gianni Schicchi" by G. Puccini), and Francesca ("Francesca da Rimini" by S.V. Rachmaninoff).

She has participated in master classes and worked with many conductors such as John Fisher, Anton Grishanin, Evgeny Brazhnik, Konstantin Khvatynets, Artem Makarov, Konstantin Chudovsky, Vyacheslav Valeev, and Alexander Zhilenkov.

In 2020 she was awarded a scholarship from the Muslim Magomayev Cultural and Musical Heritage Foundation.

In 2021 she took part in a production of "La Bohème" opera on the Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theater for the 110th anniversary of B. A. Pokrovsky (conducted by Anton Grishanin).

In 2022, Natalia won The First Prize at the IX International Natalia Shpiller Competition.

In the 2022-2023 season, she performed the roles of Tatiana ("Eugene Onegin" by P. I. Tchaikovsky) and Micaela ("Carmen" by G. Bizet) at the Moscow State Children's Musical Theater named after N. I. Sats.

In 2023 she performed the soprano part in a concert and theater production of Camille Saint-Saëns's oratorio "The Deluge" (conducted by Artem Makarov).

In 2023 she performed the role of Francesca in Sergei Rachmaninoff's opera "Francesca da Rimini" in the premiere production at the Moscow Conservatory Opera Theatre (conductor Jeremy Walker, director Edem Ibraimov).

In 2024-2025 she became a trainee in the IIIrd Young Opera Singers Program at the "Helikon-Opera", following which she was accepted into the company as a soloist.

During her training in the Young Opera Singers Program, she mastered and performed such significant roles at the "Helikon Opera as Antonia (Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann"), Elena (Offenbach's "La Belle Hélène"), Papagena (Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" and "Opera Fairy Tale Welcomes Guests" performance), and the Golden Cockerel ("My Opera Hero" project).
