Dmitry Chernov
Dmitry Chernov, baritone
Born in Belgorod in 1995. After graduating from the S.A. Degtyaryov Music College (class of E. Grigoriev), he entered the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied in the class of professor A. A. Loshak.
Dmitry is a laureate of international competitions:
- 1st prize of the International Vocalists Competition “Masterpieces of Russian Music” named after Natalia Shpiller, Moscow;
- 1st prize of the International Vocalists Competition named after A. P. Ivanov, Tver.
In 2022–2023, Dmitry has an internship at the 2nd Youth Program of Opera Artists under the Helikon-opera theatre and the Art-Helios Autonomous Nonprofit Organization. Since September 2023, Dmitry joined the troupe of the Helikon-opera.
Since 2023, Dmitry is also a soloist at the B. A. Pokrovsky Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.
During his internship at the Helikon stage, he performed the following roles: Eugene Onegin (“Eugene Onegin” by P.I. Tchaikovsky), Marcello (“La Bohème” by G. Puccini), and Yeletsky (“The Queen of Spades” by P.I. Tchaikovsky). He also participated in concert programs “Here we are!”, “Tatiana's Day”, “Chekhov and the romance theatre”, “Christmas Ball”, “33 pleasures”, and “The drawing-room of Lyudmila Zhumaeva”.
