"Muses of Helikon" and Andrey Mironov's Bachelor party
For the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the International Women's Day Helikon-opera prepared a special gift. Traditional concerts of soloists of Devichnik( sorority party) and Malchishnik(bachelor party) will surprise the audience with unexpected programs.
On the 23rd of February the Princess Shakhovskaya Hall will be turned into a monastery of beautiful muses. Dressed in air tunics they will gather together on the Mount of Helikonin order to congratulate dear men and to dispute about the beauty. The contention will be followed by singing of arias from operas of russianand foreign composers, pantomime and dances. In aspiration to prove they rightness, each of the nine patronesses of different arts will sing about her creative predilection :Сalliope – about the epic poetry, Euterpe – about the lyrics, Melpomene – about the tragedy. The Thalia and Erato will perform, respectively, the comic and love arias, Polyhymnia – the anthem. Between Clio and Urania will talk about history and astronomy will be tied, and Terpsichore will entertain the audience with refined dances. Dispute of muses will be pacified by the leader of muses, the handsome Apollo: under sounds of a gold cithara, the voices of charming goddesses will merge in the harmony.
The leading soloists of Helikon-Opera participate in the concert: The Honored Artists of Russia Anna Grechishkina, Larisa Kostyuk and Elena Semenova; ElenaMikhailenko, Lidia Svetozarova and others. Dancing part will be performed by KseniaLisanskaya. Thecountertenor Vadim Volkov will become Apollo. Arias will be accompanied by the symphonic orchestra of the theater (conductor Valery Kirianov). Directors of the concert – the Honored Artist of Russia Ekaterina Oblezova and ViacheslavStarodubtsev.

On the eve of the 8th of March they will celebrate the75 yearssince the birth of a legend of the Soviet cinematography, a women’s favourite Andrey Mironov. Having played a set of roles more than in 30 performances and 40 movies, Andrey AleksandrovichMironov became famous not only as a outstanding actor, but also as a brilliant performer of songs. The discography of the actor account for 11 albums with songs from the favorite Soviet movies.
On the occasion of the 75 anniversary since the birth of the actor a bachelor party will be organized in the Helikon-Opera. Cherished, almost forgotten smash hits of last years will sound: "The island of bad luck" from the movie "The Diamond Arm", the Song about trumpeters ("Say a word for the poor hussar"), "Grows white my sail" ("The Twelve chairs"), "I take the stage" from the movie-concert "Together with the Orchestra". These ones and some other compositions will be performed by the famous theatre and film actors for whom Andrey Mironov's art served as a reference and played a defining role in their creative destiny.
Special guests of the party – Andrey Mironov's widow Larissa Golubkina and his daughter Maria Mironova.
