Dmitry Bertman became the winner of 'The Legend' award!

The tenth festival of musical theaters "To See the Music" ended on December 1 with a Gala concert on the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theater and a solemn award ceremony of 'The Legend' Award to outstanding figures of the musical theatre. Among them is the founder and President of the Helikon-opera theatre, People's Artist of Russia, Dmitry Bertman. The award for Dmitry Bertman was presented to the first Helikon members who have served the theatre over 30 years — People's Artists of Russia Vadim Zaplechny and Natalia Zagorinskaya.

"The Legend” Award is our tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to musical theatre. Our gratitude to them. A symbol of our love and admiration for those from whom we learn all our lives, with whom we argue, whom we idolize," says Georgy Isaakyan, President of the Association of Musical Theaters and director of the Gala Concert. “To them, the artists, whose life in art inspires us to reach for the stars, we say today to thunderous applause: "You are a Legend."

The ceremony was also attended by the Chief conductor of the Helikon-opera theatre, Maestro Valery Kiryanov, under whose direction the overture to Glinka's opera Ruslan and Lyudmila was performed, opening the gala concert.
