Yulia was born in 1992.

Graduated from vocal departmant of Musical College at  Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky (O. Kurzhumova class) in 2015.
Graduated from Musical Theatre Department of Choir Arts Academy named after V. S. Popov (I. Glagoleva class) in 2020.

From 2020 to 2023 performed as a soloist in Opera Singing Centre named after Galina Vishnevskaya (prof. M. Kasrashvili class).

Since 2022 - assistant-probationer at Moscow State Conservatory (prof. M. Kasrashvili class).

В 2019 году Юлия принимала участие в фестивале «Opera Art» Динары Алиевой, также в фестивале Союза композиторов России «Пять вечеров» (2020), «Воронежская камерата» (2022).

From March 2023 to August 2024, she was a member of the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin.

From September 2024 to July 2025, Yulia completed an internship at the Moscow Musical Theatre Helikon-Opera as part of the 3rd Young Opera Singers Program. During the season, she performed the roles of Oksana (Cherevichki) and Juliet ("Les Contes d'Hoffmann") in the theatre's repertoire productions, and also sang the role of Elizabeth ("Tannhäuser", R. Wagner, Zaryadye).

Yulia Sitnikova is a diploma winner and laureate of international competitions such as:

- First Place Laureate of the All-Russian Kabalevsky International Opera Competition (2020),
- New Opera World Diploma Winner (2019),
- Special Jury Prize at the VIII G.P. Vishnevskaya International Opera Singers Competition (2021),
- Semi-finalist at the Eva Marton Competition (2022).
- Third Prize Laureate at the International Bulbul Competition (2024).

She has completed masterclasses with K. Viski (2018), S. Skigin (2019), B. Maisuradze (2021), I. Abdrazakov (2022), and M. Boemi (2022).

She worked with such conductors as Yaroslav Tkalenko, Andrey Lebedev, Alexander Soloviev, Marco Boemi, Sergey Stadler, Eyyub Kuliev, Fyodor Lednev, Dmitry Sinkovsky, Ivan Velikanov, Ivan Rudin, Philipp Selivanov, and Valery Kiryanov.

Participant in the 8th season of the "Bolshaya Opera" television project (2025) on the Rossiya-Kultura TV channel.
