A concert of Alisa Gitsba in "Helikon-Opera"

On December, 5 a recital of the Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Abkhsia Alisa Gitsba was held in Helikon-opera. This evening totalled the twenty-year music way of the singer.

In the first part of the audience heard the old music played Honored Artist of Russia Yana Ivanilova, early music ensemble «La Stravaganza» under the direction of Svetlana Sheveleva and soloist of "Helikon-Opera" tenor Dmitry Khromov. Performed works by A. Vivaldi, G. Handel, G. Caccini, A. Kircher, T. Merula, C. Monteverdi, B. Stronti, A. Falconieri.

In the second part arias from favorite Alisa's operas were performed, the role in which have become the milestones in her Helikon's biography. Among them were arias from "Aida", "Masquerade," "Macbeth" "Nabucco" and "La Traviata" by G. Verdi's "Norma" by Bellini, "The Marriage of Figaro" by W. A. Mozart.

Orchestra and choir of "Helikon-opera" conducted by Eugeny Ilyin, as well as the soloist of "Helikon" baritone Alexei Isaev, took part in the concert. Director Alexander Borodovskiy. Esma Genia was the presenter of the evening.
