Konstantin Brzhinsky

KONSTANTIN BRZHINSKY
baritone

Born in Saransk at the musicians’ family. He has graduated from L.P. Kiryuko Saransk Music College by specialties “choral conducting” and “solo singing” and from the vocal singing faculty of the Kazan State Conservatoire named after N. Zhiganov (Academy).

In 2006–2009 he was studying at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre. Now he continues to participate in the centre's art life.

In 2011 he has become the soloist of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon-opera. On the theatre's stage he has impersonated more than 20 parts, amon which there are: Figaro (“Il barbiere di Siviglia” by G. Rossini), Eugene Onegin (“Eugene Onegin” by P. I. Tchaikovsky), Prince Yeletsky (“The Queen of Spades” by P. I. Tchaikovsky), Robert (“Iolanta” by P. I. Tchaikovsky), Shchelkalov (“Boris Godunov” by M. Mussorgsky), The Venetian (“Sadko” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Escamillo, Moralès and Le Dancaïre (“Carmen” by G. Bizet), Dr Falke (“Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss), Ford (“Falstaff” by G. Verdi), Renato (“Un ballo in maschera” by G. Verdi), Gryaznoy (“The Tsar's Bride” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Chaadsky (“Chaadsky” by A. Manotskov), Silvio (“Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo) etc.

Konstantin Brzhinsky is the laureate of the international competitions: the first prize of the XV B. Hristov International competition (Sofia, Bulgary, 2014), the fourth prize of the V International Vocalists Competition named after Bulbul (Azerbaijan, 2010) and the second prize of the X International competition “Hopes, Talents, Masters” (Bulgaria, 2005).

He took part in the master-classes of such singers and musicians as Galina Vishnevskaya, Dennis O ’Neil, Alexandrina Milcheva, Thomas Hampson, Mauro Trombetta, Sherril Milns, Badri Maysuradze, Eugene Kon, Mikhail Yurovsky.

Konstantin is a participant of the numerous festivals and concert performances. Among which there are: International music festival “Varna Summer” (Bulgaria), International arts festival “Russian music on Baltics” (Kalinigrad), Y. Bashmet International festival in Minsk (Belarus), The Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, Classic Open Air festival in Germany, Mstislav Rostropovich International Festival in Baku, S. Rachmaninoff international festival “White Lilac” in Kazan, Russia culture days in Germany.

He was performing under the guidance of such famous conductors as M. Pletnev, K. Hammer, D. Yurovsky, A. Skulsky, A. Sladkovsky, A. Anisimov.

He pursues vast concert activity in Russia and abroad.
