Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubieva were born in Moscow, graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School. They are members of the Union of Russian Artists, the winners of the Moscow Government Culture Prize (1995) and Honored Artists of the Russian Federation (2000). Since 1996 they are the Chief Designers of the Helikon-Opera theatre, where they have developed artistic solutions for more than 50 performances. Together with Dmitry Bertman they have made the productions in the “Et Cetera” theatre (Moscow), the Krasnodar Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Theatre “Na Basseynoy” (Kaliningrad), the Estonia Theatre (Tallinn), the Mannheim Opera Theatre (Germany), the Canadian Opera Company (Toronto), the Stadttheater Klagenfur (Austria), the Royal Swedish Opera (Stockholm), at the Wexford Festival (Ireland), the Verdi Opera Festival (Strasbourg, France), the Festival in Santander (Spain) and others. They collaborate with musical theatres of Novosibirsk, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Saint-Petersburg, Odessa, Minsk, and Sofia. They are also the theatre designers of many performances of the Russian Ballet Theatre. Through all the years of their career they have decorated over 200 productions in the opera, ballet and operetta genres. Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubieva constantly participate in the Moscow and National exhibitions. Their works are stored in various national museums, including the A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum, P. Tchaikovsky museums in Klin and Votkinsk, as well as in the private collections in Russia and abroad. Among the latest productions of Igor Nezhny and Tatiana Tulubieva there are "Sadko", “Il trovatore”, “La traviata” performances, which demonstrate unique possibilities of the new stage of Helikon-opera.
