Building Complex in Moscow held a second Instameet for leading Instagram bloggers. This time users of the world's most popular photoservice visited the new building of Moscow musical theater Helikon-Opera.
Photographers had a unique opportunity to look for interesting perspectives in the new hall of reconstructed historic building of the theater, to learn about the process of reconstruction, to be one of the first to test the unique acoustics of "Helikon-Opera".

Photos from the event can be found with the hashtags on Instagram #Helikonisback, #новыйгеликон, #Москве_от_Стройкомплекса and #moscowchanges.

Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" is located in Glebovs-Streshnevs-Shakhovskaya manor. The decision on the reconstruction and restoration of the theater was made in 2002, construction began in 2007. However, because of the unfortunate choice of a contractor the works were delayed. JSC "Mosinzhproekt" renewed the project and promptly undertook the restoration. At present, construction works in the theater are almost completed. Helikon-Opera will open new season-2015 at home.
The builders had to solve a difficult problem during the restoration of the historic part of the building and reconstruction of the adjacent buildings, which had to be adapted to modern use. The renewed theater will be equipped with the latest technologies.

As previously Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor for urban policy and the construction, stated that Helikon-Opera after completion of the works will be the object of world-class.
«Уже скоро музыкальный театр вновь сможет ставить свои спектакли на исторической обновленной сцене. Это будет уникальный театр, где историческое здание удалось «насытить» новыми технологиями», - отметил М. Хуснуллин.

"Soon the musical theater will again be able to put their performances at the historic renewed stage. This will be a unique theater, where we managed to "saturate" a historic building with new technologies", - said M. Khusnullin.

A small hall for 227 seats is recreated in the existing historic building of the theater. The result of scientific restoration was preservation of its unique acoustics. White-columned hall was named after its patron Princess Shakhovskaya, who invited the best of the Russian intelligentsia to perform there. Pyotr Tchaikovsky conducted orchestra, Fyodor Chaliapin sang arias, Alexander Pushkin read his poems in this hall. Claude Debussy’s first concert in Russia was held here.

In the foyer of the theater builders have arranged a glass floor under which the viewers can see the artifacts - stones, taken near Mozart’s house in Salzburg and Tchaikovsky’s in Klin, as well as the stones from the theater, which was built by composer Wagner in Bayreuth. The new building was equipped with room for 500 spectators with unique acoustics, a false ceiling above the stage creates sound, at the same time giving effect of a starry sky. Special elements that wouldn’t be found in any opera house of the world – a specially designed sound-reflecting spheres, which was named Helikons – are the part of the speakers. The new hall was named "Stravinsky" in honor of the famous Russian composer.

Instameet International project is a format of closed meetings for the Instagram leaders in unusual places. The first such event was held in the building site of "Butyrskaya" metro station of Lublinskaya-Dmitrovskaya line.
