Day of the city of Moscow with Helikon-opera
On September, 6 at 11.00 artists of the choir of Helikon-opera began to parade from Helikon-Opera in Arbat along Nikitsky Boulevard toward the monument to A. Timiriazev at Square of Nikitskiy gate. Dunayevsky’s March of Cheerful Fellows from "The Jolly Fellows" film was performed on the Boulevard. On the way, they visited Nikitskaya street to look at Helikon’s home, the historical stage of the theater. Exactly at 13.00 at Timiriazev monument on Tverskaya Boulevard, Hymn of Moscow was performed by artists of Helikon, which was the start of the celebration.
Concert program "Love Forever", which Helikon arists presented, has been already appreciated by spectators, who saw it at the Variety Theatre. The program includes twenty one song about love which are romantic hits, lyrical music, beloved by several generations. The concert featured soloists People's Artist of Russia Natalia Zagorinskaya, laureates of international contests Dmitry Skorikov, Alexander Miminoshvili, Alexei Isaev, Elena Mikhaylenko, Maria Maskhulia, Andrey Palamarchuk, Dmitry Khromov, Maxim Perebeinos, Konstantin Brzhinsky, Inna Zvenyatskaya, Lydia Svetozarova, Ksenia Lisanskaya, choir and orchestra. Conducted by Valery Kiryanov.
Practically all Tverskoy Boulevard was filled with grateful audience, who sang along with Helikon and arranged a standing ovation after each number.
