Artem Davydov

Conductor

Artem Davydov was born in Nizhneyansk (Sakha Republic) in 1985. In 2004 graduated from the musical college under Magnitogorsk State Conservatory (Academy) named after M. Glinka and in 2009 graduated from the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music specializing in choral conducting (prof. M. Apeksimova’s class). In 2004 he started working in Moscow music theatre “Helikon-Opera” as a choir singer and in 2013 he competed and became the choirmaster.

From 2007 till 2009 Artem was studying at the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music specializing in Opera and Symphony conducting (class of V. Chistyakov) and completed the post-graduate course.
In 2016-2017, Artem Davydov was a probationer, perfecting his skills in the class of People’s Artist of the USSR Professor Vladimir Fedoseyev.

In 2018 he made his debut as the conductor in the Helikon-Opera theatre in the “Seven deadly sins” performance (music by Kurt Weill). Also conducted the premiere series of “Aleko” (by Sergei Rachmaninoff).

The season 2018-2019 Artem Davydov began as the conductor of Moscow Music Theatre “Helikon Opera” under Dmitry Bertman.

In August 2019 in the framework of the International opera-symphonic laboratory he has become the conductor of the “Iolanta” by P. I. Tchaikovsky on the A. Pokrovsky’s Chamber stage of the Bolshoi theatre. He has participated of the international forum of the ancient cities under the UNESCO aegis in Ryazan, where he was conducting the “Iolanta” performance.
